There is a way back that begins in the body.
For women who feel disconnected from themselves, caught in old patterns, overwhelmed by change, or tired of living from the neck up.
The Body-Led Method offers a compassionate way to come back into relationship with yourself, beginning with what your body is already communicating.
More connected.
More you.
What are you noticing in your body?
You do not need to change it, explain it or make it go away. For a moment, simply notice what is here.
A different way of being with yourself.
Most of us have learned how to think about our experience, explain it, push through it or try to change it.
Body-led work begins somewhere else. We slow down enough to notice how an experience is actually living in you, and begin meeting what is there with curiosity rather than immediately trying to make it different.
From there, we can listen for what your body may be communicating, what an experience might be connected to, what it needs, and what kind of support feels possible.
Your body does not always offer a neat answer. The practice is learning how to listen.
This is not about blindly following every sensation or treating the body as something that always knows exactly what to do. It is about developing a more compassionate and conscious relationship with the information your body carries.
Not a rigid sequence, but four movements we can return to again and again.
Noticing
Sensation, emotion, movement, tension, numbness, imagery, impulses, words, energy, or perhaps very little at all. We begin by noticing what feels most present.
Meeting
Rather than rushing to fix, analyse or move away from the experience, we practise being with and befriending what is present with as much space and compassion as feels possible.
Supporting
With compassionate curiosity, we listen for what may offer support. This might include movement, connection, rest, expression, boundaries, nature, touch, space or something entirely your own.
Integrating
What you discover can begin to inform how you relate to yourself, your needs, your boundaries, your relationships and the choices you make in everyday life.
The body is part of the conversation.
The Body-Led Method is shaped by my training in SomaSoul Somatic Therapy, alongside meditation, mindfulness, embodiment and nature-based practice.
At its heart is the practice of awareness, being with and befriending our experience, and bringing connection, compassion and curiosity to what we find.
This means I am not here to tell your body what it should feel, or decide what an experience means for you. We listen together for what your own experience is communicating and what kind of support feels right for you.
You do not need to be calm, flexible, spiritual, good at meditation or already able to name what you feel. Bodies experience and communicate in different ways. We begin with yours.

How to Meditate
When You Have Anxiety
Meditation for anxiety can be helpful, but not when it becomes another thing you have to get right. This body-led approach explores grounding, movement, sound, open-eye meditation and nervous system support when sitting still or focusing on the breath does not feel supportive.

Meditation Wasn't Designed for Women's Bodies
Why meditation can feel hard when practice does not make room for hormones, nervous systems and the lives women are actually living.
Why Meditation Apps Aren't Enough
Meditation apps can guide you, but they cannot truly attune to your body, nervous system or emotional experience.

I believe there is wisdom
in what the body is already doing.
Hey, I’m Lauren. I’m a SomaSoul Somatic Therapist, meditation teacher, eco therapist and mum to twins.
I know that transitions can change the ground beneath us. Motherhood, fertility journeys, grief, burnout, ageing, relationship changes and shifts in identity can bring us into contact with parts of ourselves we may not have had the time, language or support to understand.
My own path through motherhood, meditation, embodiment, somatic therapy and nature-based work has taught me that the body is not something we need to overcome, control or leave behind in order to feel better.
Often, the body is already communicating. Through tension, movement, numbness, emotion, restlessness, pleasure, instinct and the many subtle ways we organise ourselves in response to life.
This work is less about becoming a different version of yourself and more about developing the capacity to notice, meet and understand what is already here.
Your body is not the obstacle. It is the doorway.
A place of memory, protection, sensation, need, movement, connection and return.
Meeting what is here,
not rushing to change it.
Noticing
Making room to notice sensations, emotions, patterns, impulses and what feels most present in your body.
Meeting
Being with your experience with curiosity and enough space for it to be felt without immediately fixing, analysing or overriding it.
Supporting
Exploring what might offer support through relationship, movement, rest, boundaries, nature, expression or another kind of resource.
Integrating
Allowing what you discover to become part of how you relate to yourself and move through your everyday life.
You don't need to know
exactly what you need.
Sometimes the beginning is simply making a little space to notice yourself again. These free body-led meditations are an invitation to practise listening to your body without asking it to become calmer, quieter or anything other than what it is.
Perhaps begin with how you are arriving today.
I feel
restless.
You may not need stillness. Perhaps your body wants movement, space, sound or somewhere for its energy to go.
I feel
far away.
If you feel numb, foggy or disconnected, beginning outside yourself with sound, touch, nature or the room around you may offer another way in.
I need
a pause.
Not a pause where you have to empty your mind, but a few minutes where you can stop doing and notice what is actually here.
I don't
really know.
You do not need the right words. Not knowing can be part of listening too. Start anywhere and notice what your body responds to.

Sometimes being met
changes what becomes possible.
Every woman brings her own history, body and way of experiencing the world. These are some of the words women have shared after spending time with me in somatic therapy, embodiment and body-led spaces.
I cannot recommend her highly enough. Nothing is off limits in the safe container she holds you in, and her incredible intuition and gentle inquiry makes it possible to explore all the parts of yourself. I believe that Lauren truly ‘sees’ people, and she has helped me to feel more connected and curious about myself and the natural world around me.
I had the opportunity to experience somatic therapy with Lauren over 7 sessions, and I can’t recommend her services highly enough. The approach is gentle, body focused yet powerful, and each session had an immediate positive impact on my everyday life. Lauren has a grounding and nurturing presence, and she guided the sessions with skill and wisdom.
I had the pleasure of working with Lauren before and after becoming a mother. Two years later, I became a mother and she so beautifully and calmly held space for me and supported me on the transition that I had taken into motherhood. She validated all my feels and guided me back to my intuition of who I am. She taught valuable lessons in dealing with childhood beliefs that do not serve me now and ever. I am so grateful for my relationship with Lauren.
I absolutely love all of Lauren’s classes, she is such a beautiful soul! I most recently joined her Women’s Embodiment classes which were a gentle and relaxing way to connect to your body and emotions. Could not recommend highly enough!
You can stay close to this work in quieter ways too.
A little space to
pause, notice and come closer.
Every so often, I send a note about the body, meditation, nervous system care, womanhood, motherhood, transition and some of what I am noticing in my own life and work.
There is nothing to keep up with and nowhere you need to get to. Just thoughtful words to return to when you have space for them.

There is more of you
here to meet.
You do not need to arrive with the right words, a clear goal, or a version of yourself you are trying to become.
We can begin with what you notice now, making room for your body, your experience and your own way of knowing to become part of the conversation.
Not sure where to begin?
