Body-Led Somatic Meditation Mentoring for Women

A private 4-session program to help you discover a meditation practice that actually fits your body, your nervous system and your real life — not someone else's.

Maybe it helped for a bit. Maybe it felt too still, too rigid, or like one more thing to get right.

Or maybe (and this is more common than anyone talks about) it actually made you feel worse.

The anxiety that crept in when things went quiet. The emotions that surfaced out of nowhere and had no place to go. The restlessness that made sitting still feel impossible. The strange disconnection, like you were watching yourself from somewhere far away.

You aren’t alone.

This is what happens when a nervous system that has been running on high for a long time is suddenly asked to stop without the right support around it.

You have probably tried meditation before.

A woman and a young boy sitting at a glass desk, looking at a laptop screen. The woman is smiling slightly, and the boy is hugging her from behind, holding a red pen. The desk has various colorful pens, papers, a phone, and a laptop. The setting appears to be a home office or study area.

Why standard meditation often doesn't work for women

Most meditation practices we know today were developed by monks and renunciants who had stepped away from the world entirely. No family. No career. No children. No hormonal cycles shaping their energy week to week. No mental load of holding a household, a career, other people's needs. Their one responsibility was to practise.

The traditions they built are profound and worth honouring. But it is likely that they were not built for you and your body.

They were not built for a woman moving through the rhythms of a cycle that changes what her body needs every single week. They were not built for bodies that hold trauma or for nervous system that has been managing stress, responsibility and the needs of others for years. They were not built for the woman who when sits to meditate finds that her body does not know how to find stillness, because stillness has never really been available to her.

What is comes down to is simply a mismatch. The container was built for a different body, living a different life.

Women’s body-led meditation starts somewhere else entirely. It starts with your body, your nervous system, your cycle and your actual life and builds a practice from there.

Hear about the program from Lauren

This is for the woman who knows she needs to slow down, but finds that slowing down is harder than it sounds.

You might be capable and responsible, used to holding a lot, yet underneath it all feel tired, activated, disconnected or unsure where to begin.

This program meets you exactly where you are and helps you find a practice that is genuinely yours - one that supports your nervous system, fits your real life and gives you a way to keep coming back to yourself long after our time together ends.

Women leave this program feeling more at home in their bodies, less at war with their minds, and with a genuine practice they actually want to return to.

What to expect in each of the 4 sessions

  • Number 1 in gold font overlay on a blurred background of white flowers and soft blue sky

Session 1: Your Body’s Meditation Map

Learning to listen before we build

We begin by exploring your unique relationship with stillness, rest, stress and your own body. Together we map what is actually happening in your nervous system when you slow down — what feels safe, what feels hard, what you long for, and what your body might be asking for right now.

We weave in the rhythms that shape your experience — your hormonal cycle, the season of life you are in, and the desires and resistances that live in your body day to day. Nothing is fixed here. This session is about listening before prescribing.

    Session 2: Finding what fits

Your body as guide and feedback system

This is the exploration session. Based on what we learned about your body and your life, we try things. We move between practices — breath, body scan, movement, sound, visualisation, nature, stillness, mantra — and use your body's response as the guide.

You might be surprised by what lands, and what doesn't. Both are useful. By the end of this session you will begin to recognise the shape of a practice that is genuinely yours.

Session 3: What gets in the way

Making space for the real obstacles

Knowing what works and actually doing it are two different things. In this session we get honest about what makes practice hard to sustain — the time, the guilt, the perfectionism, the days your nervous system won't cooperate, the seasons when everything changes.

We explore how to build a practice that bends rather than breaks — one that meets you in your tired, your wired, your scattered and your full. You will leave with a clearer sense of how to keep coming back to yourself even when life gets loud.

  • Number 4 in gold overlay on a blurred background of white flowers

    Session 4: Your living practice

    Something that changes with you

We bring everything together into a practice that is genuinely yours — one that honours your nervous system, your cycle, your capacity and your real life. Not a rigid routine, but a flexible, body-led pathway you can trust and return to across seasons, transitions and the quiet ordinary days in between.

You leave with recordings made for you, a personalised practice guide and the confidence to keep listening inward long after our time together ends. Most of all, you leave with a different relationship with yourself. One where your body feels less like something to manage and more like somewhere you can come home to.

What is Body-Led Meditation Mentoring?

Body-led meditation mentoring is a private 4-session online program that helps you explore meditation through your body, your nervous system and your lived experience.

Most meditation asks you to quiet your mind, sit still and arrive already calm. This is different.

In body-led meditation, we pay attention to what your body is actually communicating through tension, restlessness, breath, emotion, numbness, posture or subtle inner signals and we use that as our guide. Rather than overriding what is happening, we listen to it. Rather than forcing calm, we create the conditions for your body to feel safe enough to soften on its own terms.

You do not need to arrive calm, clear or already connected to yourself. You may arrive anxious, tired, emotional, numb or unsure where to begin. All of that is welcome here. Our time together is about creating enough safety, choice and support for your body to begin showing us what it needs.

Depending on what your body is asking for, we might explore breath awareness, body awareness, yoga nidra, grounding, visualisation, mantra, moving meditation, walking meditation, nature meditation, somatic inquiry, self-compassion practices or inner child support. There is no fixed method and no checklist to get through.

Your practice is shaped entirely around your body, your nervous system, your hormonal rhythms, your capacity and your season of life. We listen before we build — and we build something that can change with you.
